Title: High-accuracy Adaptive Indoor Localization: Challenges and Approaches
Abstract: Advances in Wi-Fi based indoor localization has enableda large spectrum of applications in industrial and consumerfields, such as shopping navigation, security surveillance, gesture recognition and intrusion detection. In this talk, we present the difficulties and challenges in localization research. The existing localization systems are vulnerable to a number of practical issues in the application scenarios. Especially, the localization accuracy is likely to be degraded by obstacles, variation of wireless channels and device heterogeneity. Then, we discuss the design principles of the proposed high-accuracy adaptable indoor localization methods to combat these issues. Finally, we introduce our experimental platform, which helps to achieve high-accuracy adaptiveindoor localization.
